It is getting closer to that time of year. Big Noon Kickoff, pumpkin spice, the colors of the seasons magically changing and giving us the glimpse of nature's natural beauty. When the cool air finds it way at some point during the day to meet warm temperatures.
Nature has a way of telling us when life is changing. For many Fall is their favorite season, not to hot not to cold. Leaves turning into shades of embers and pumpkins appearing on porches. As Fall approaches it is also a sign that Winters chilly grasp is not too far behind.
In general, it is always be prepared than wait until it is too late. As things start to die and temperatures start to drop there is much to get done. It is a good time to start making sure those outside water spickets are properly drained and winterized. Get those brakes checked out and battery tested, make sure all the fluids under the hood are good to go!
Did you know fall is a great time to have your yard aerated and hydroseed? Those weeds that have driven us stir crazy all Summer are dying. Which actually provides more nutrients to the soil and allows the grass seed to grow stronger into the soil as the weeds are no longer smothering out the grass.
Here in Ohio the Fall brings with it our second rain season. With cooler air and temperatures, Fall bring in a steady supply of moisture.
The combined with hydroseeding allows the seed to take root and feed. While we do not see our fresh lavish green lawns until Spring and Summer, the process actually begins here. Mulching leaves can provide a great fertilizer. While too many leaves will cause dead spots.
